About Me!
With some friends after a color run,
I'm in the middle!
Name: Kristin Lee Kohlmann
Age:22
Major: Genetics with a certificate in Global Health
"Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” -Howard Thurman
I will be graduating from the UW in a few weeks, which is a little intimidating, however I'm very excited to continue onward with my life and career. My ultimate career goal is to become a physician, so hopefully someday soon I'll be coming back to school. As for what kind of medicine I want to practice, that is a little less clear. I am interested in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, and Pediatrics.
Currently, I am working in an Emergency Room as a scribe and I absolutely love it! I also have been working at a research lab my entire undergraduate career studying Mucosal Immunity and Cardiovascular Disease. I lived in Ecuador for a summer studying how culture effects healthcare and global health and I really enjoyed learning about Ecuadorian culture and community healthcare. My outside interests include running, playing soccer, reading, hiking, and traveling.
